Children's Ministry

Mission Statement

The mission of the Vietnamese Alliance Church of Lancaster's Children’s Ministry is to serve our church and glorify God by sharing the Gospel to children, encouraging parents to raise their children in the Lord, and equipping servants so that our children may come to know and serve the Lord, families may be supported, and the church may be strengthened.

Evangelizing Children

Encouraging Parents

Equipping Servants

We believe that children, as all adults, are dead in their sin (Psalm 51:5) and are in need of salvation that comes from Christ alone. Therefore, our mission is to preach and teach the Gospel to our children that they may be led to repentance of sins, regeneration of their heart, and a restored relationship with God by trusting in Jesus as their Savior and Lord. As we work diligently to sow seeds of the Gospel message, we will be actively praying that God would give all our children “eyes to see,” “ears to hear,” and “hearts to serve.”

We affirm that parents are commanded to continuously train, discipline, and instruct their children in the Lord (Ephesians 6:4, Deut 6:7). As the church, we are called to encourage parents in their God-given task to raise godly children. We hope to do this by partnering in prayer, offering Christ-centered child-care so that parents may attend services, and providing resources and training seminars to further equip parents in this duty.

The Church is mandated in Scripture to edify and equip servants for the work of ministry (Eph 4:11-16). We desire to provide our faithful workers opportunities for growth, teaching, and encouragement under the direction of our pastor, teachers, leaders, and elders. We strive to maintain a culture of discipleship within our ministry– that we may help our servants grow in their faith and maturity, and lead others to do the same.
